Due to global processes of transformation and the social challenges posed by demographic change, rural areas increasingly demand attention from politics and the public sphere. Wolfgang Schneider (Prof. Dr.) is the director of the Department of Cultural Policy of the University Hildesheim and holds the UNESCO-Chair in 'Cultural Policy for the Arts in Development'. Beate Kegler (PhD) is a research fellow at the Department of Cultural Policy of the University of Hildesheim. Her main research focus lies on cultural policy and cultural education for rural development. Daniela Koß (M.A.) is a cultural studies specialist at the Foundation of the German state of Lower Saxony. She is responsible for the development and implementation of innovative culture-funding programmes.mehr
