He is also the executive vice president of the Chinese Population Association and the vice president of the China Association for Social and Economic Purposes and the International Union of Population Science. His academic expertise is for demography and population economics.In 1984, Ministry of Personnel approved him as 'outstanding contributions of young and middle-aged experts'; in 1992, he received special government allowances issued by State Council.mehr
