She is the author of numerous books such as God in the Dark and Breath for the Bones. She is also coauthor of three books with Madeleine L'Engle, including Friends for the Journey.

Luci and her husband live in Bellingham, Washington, where she enjoys sailing, tent camping, knitting, gardening, and wilderness photography.Ned Bustard is a graphic designer, an illustrator, an author, a curator, and a creative director.
