Kimberly McCreight hat ihr Jurastudium an der University of Pennsylvania mit Auszeichnung abgeschlossen. Nachdem sie einige Jahre als Anwältin in einer der größten Kanzleien New Yorks gearbeitet hat, widmet sie sich nun ganz ihrer eigentlichen Leidenschaft, dem Schreiben. Sie hat bereits in einigen Magazinen veröffentlicht. Mit ihrem Ehemann und ihren zwei Kindern lebt sie in Brooklyn, New York.
