Histopathology Atlas of Acute Radiation Syndrome and Delayed Effects in Rhesus Macaques: Kidney, Lung, Heart, Intestine and Mesenteric Lymph Node provides a thoroughly illustrated review of the tissue damage and reparative changes associated with standardized irradiation doses in rhesus macaques. In addition to time-sequenced, routinely stained histologic sections, the book presents results of numerous histochemical, immunohistochemical and chromogenic in-situ stains that provide insights into the pathogenesis of radiation-associated tissue injury and repair. This book is compiled and written by a board-certified veterinary pathologist with more than 40 years of experience in the interpretation of experimentally induced tissue alterations in laboratory animals. This is an important resource for researchers in the field of animal science radiation injury, including radiation oncologists and individuals involved in disaster preparedness related to accidental or deliberate radiation exposure in large populations.mehr
