Autor

DONLYN LYNDON, FAIA, is the Eva Li Professor of Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley and editor of Places, a journal of environmental design. He is author of The City Observed: Boston, and co-author of Chambers for a Memory Palace and The Place of Houses. His architectural and urban design practice has included the design with Moore Lyndon Turnbull Whitaker of Condominium One at the Sea Ranch, California (1965), which received the distinguished 25-year Award from the AIA. He has headed the Departments of Architecture at the University of Oregon, MIT and Berkeley. In 1997, he was honoured with the AIA-ACSA's Topaz Award, the highest award in architectural education.Ken Yeang is an architect and a principal of the firm, Hamzah & Yeang ((r) T. R. Hamzah & Yeang Sdn. Bhd.) which has offices in London and Kuala Lumpur. The firm specializes in the ecological design of large buildings and sites. Its early work pioneers the development of a genre of high-rise building, the bioclimatic skyscraper, as a low-energy climatically-responsive tall building that optimizes passive mode and mixed-mode systems.
