Stephanie Ho Poon is an art historian with a double masters from University of Cambridge and Sotheby's Institute of Art. She is a cultural professional who is passionate about education and crafting. She consults for major art institutions and organizations around the world and sits on the Advisory Council of Design Trust, the Advisory Committee of MILL6's Centre for Heritage, Arts, and Textiles, and serves as a Board Member of Ocean Park Corporation, chairing its Conservation & Education sub-committee. Modern Art for Kids is her debut children's book. Like many mothers, she strives to find a balance between her career and her family, and this book is the representation of combining her two life passions. She lives with her husband and three children in Hong Kong, and regularly shares their crafting activities via instagram @littlecitytales. Shannon Yeung is an artist and designer interested in asking questions through whimsical forms. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a dual degree in Philosophy and Art & Design and is passionate about pursuing questions at the intersection of both. Experienced in illustrations, ceramics and origami, she is always looking to explore new mediums for storytelling. Outside of publishing, she has done research in digital fabrication accessibility and was involved in White Cube/Black Box, a museum exhibition about fair representation in arts and algorithms. Shannon is currently based in Boston where she is an information designer by day and experimenting with paper craft and prose at night.
