Autor

Michiko Aoyama, geboren 1970 in der Präfektur Aichi, lebt heute in Yokohama. Nach ihrem Universitätsabschluss arbeitete sie zwei Jahre lang als Reporterin für eine japanische Zeitung in Sydney. Nach ihrer Heimkehr war sie zunächst als Zeitschriftenredakteurin in einem Tokioter Verlag tätig, bevor sie sich ganz dem literarischen Schreiben widmete. «Frau Komachi empfiehlt ein Buch» ist in Japan ein Bestseller und erscheint in über zwanzig Ländern.Sabine Mangold, geboren 1957, studierte Germanistik, Kunstgeschichte und Japanologie. Sie hat zahlreiche japanische Autorinnen und Autoren - darunter Haruki Murakami, Yoko Ogawa und Kazuaki Takano - ins Deutsche übertragen. Für ihre langjährige Arbeit wurde sie mit zahlreichen Stipendien und 2019 mit dem Übersetzerpreis der Japan Foundation ausgezeichnet.
