Kritik
"The White Redoubt, the Great Powers and the Struggle for Southern Africa, 1960-1980 makes for an informative read from start to finish, and is a welcome addition to the historiography of the broader war for Southern Africa. ... Their book thus comes highly recommended, and can be considered for inclusion in university course material ... ." (Evert Kleynhans, Scientia Militaria - South African Journal of Military Studies, Vol. 51 (2), 2023)
"De Meneses and McNamara effectively provide the first rigorous study of regional state relations in Southern Africa between 1960 and 1980 ... This book constitutes a very impressive feat of archival excavation. ... a very important addition to the literature on Southern African decolonization and wars of liberation." (Matthew J.Lord, Civil Wars, March, 28, 2019)
