Advancing her nursing career, Deborah graduated with a Master's of Nursing from Georgia State University in 1994 and was credentialed as a nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She has worked regularly with underserved populations as a nurse practitioner since that time. Judd has been involved in a number of outcome studies associated with direct patient care has presented at many national forums.
