Isabel Allende, geboren 1942 in Lima, ist eine der weltweit beliebtesten Autorinnen. Ihre Bücher haben sich millionenfach verkauft und sind in mehr als 40 Sprachen übersetzt worden. 2018 wurde sie - und damit erstmals jemand aus der spanischsprachigen Welt - für ihr Lebenswerk mit der National Book Award Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters ausgezeichnet. Isabel Allendes gesamtes Werk ist im Suhrkamp Verlag erschienen.
Sandy Rodríguez wuchs in einer großen Familie in Mexiko auf (sie hat mehr als 30 Cousinen!). Das Malen und Zeichnen brachte sie sich selbst bei. Am liebsten arbeitet sie mit Aquarell und Tinte, aber sie experimentiert auch mit farbigem Papier und Gouache. Heute lebt sie mit ihrem Mann und ihren zwei Töchtern in London.
Svenja Becker, geboren 1967 in Kusel (Pfalz), studierte Spanische Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaft. Sie lebt als Übersetzerin (u. a. Allende, Guelfenbein, Onetti) in Saarbrücken.
