Born in the Saarland, Germany, Jutta Maria Herrmann is a trained bookseller and has a degree in German language and literature. During her career she has organised rock concerts, scrubbed floors, been a secretary for a joinery firm, worked at a conservation centre in Berlin, written scripts for dubbed films, and much more besides.
