Tippi: My Book of Africa, photography by Sylvie Robert and Alain Degre is an exquisite book of drop-dead photography that will literally have you exclaiming with mouth open, "I can't believe this is real!" In the narrative Tippi explains how it feels to grow up "wild" and how much she loves animals and Africa. She claims that she can communicate silently with each one. A white child, she was born in Namibia and grew up in Africa and is now 23 years old living in France. The photographs of her as a young child in Africa were taken by her parents who are French film-makers and still photographers and spent seven years in the Kalahari taking pictures of meerkats. The images in this book are UNBELIEVABLE as the little girl plays with and rides on various wild animals. She does explain that the animals she is with were either in a park or a protected area, but they are still wild. The photography is exquisite...You just MUST see this book to believe it.mehr
