Coordinator of the Commission of Studies and Research on Women's Mental Health, Brazilian Association of Psychiatry.
Gislene C Valadares, MD, MScPsychiatrist and master's in Pharmacology and Molecular Biochemistry from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil. President of the Brazilian Association for Prevention and Treatment of Sexual Offense. Member of the Women's Mental Health Section at the World Psychiatric Association, of the International Association for Women's Mental Health and of the Women's Mental Health Research and Study Group at the Brazilian Association of Psychiatry. Member of the clinical Staff at the Women's Mental Health Service at UFMG, supervisor of the Psychiatry Residents at UFMG Medical School. Her focus areas include women's mental health, gender violence, sexual violence against women and incestuous families.
