Autor

Francesco dell'Isola has been a Full Professor at the Department of Structure and Geotechnical Engineering, Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) since 2006, and a Full Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering (DICEAA), University of L'Aquila (Italy) since 2016. In 2016, he also became Director of the International Research Center M&MoCS (University of L'Aquila). Since 2015, he has been the Responsible Italian Scientific Expert at the Laboratoire International Associé (LIA) Coss&Vita, a French-Italian international laboratory. His research activities chiefly focus on the synthesis and design of metamaterials, and on generalized models in continuum mechanics.
Igumnov Leonid Aleksandrovich - Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Research Institute for Mechanics, Head of the Department of Theoretical, Computer and Experimental Mechanics of National Research Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. He is Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation. His research interests include models of the mechanics of damaged medium; methods for assessing the strength and service life of materials and structures under quasistatic and cyclic loading conditions with account for the fields of various physical nature; experimental and theoretical approach to studying the dynamics and failure of materials subjected to high-speed loading.
