Kanika Basu is General Manager (Jt) at Housing and Urban Development Corporation, New Delhi, specialises in Urban Planning and is currently engaged in projects related to the improvement of living conditions in slums, housing for the urban poor, and micro-finance for better livelihood promotion. Ms. Basu´s research interests relate to people´s perspectives and participation in development processes and tourism led development. 


Amitabh Kundu is currently Distinguished Fellow at Research and Information System and World Resources Institute. He was Professor at the Centre for the Study of Regional Development and Dean of the School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi (India). Sumana Bandyopadhyay is a professor at the Department of Geography of University of Calcutta (India), specialized in Urban and Regional Planning. Tomaz Ponce Dentinho is a professor of Regional, Environmental, and Agriculture Economics at the University of Azores (Portugal).
