Naeem earned his BE in civil engineering and PhD in environmental engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan where his research focus was on the environmental applications of nanotechnology. He studied Disaster Management and Climate Change as a postdoctoral researcher at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He then joined NUST at the start of 2012. Naeem was heading the departments of Water Resources Engineering and Disaster Management till his departure from NUST in late 2022. Presently he is working on consultancy projects related to Water Resources and Climate Change as an independent consultant with different National and International organizations.
