Dr. Nabanita Mukherjee completed Ph.D. from Department of Geography, The University of Burdwan in 2022. She has published eight research papers in reputed International and National Journals like Environment, Development and Sustainability; Spatial Information Research; GeoJournal; Space and Culture etc. She has authored two chapters in edited books published by Springer Nature and three chapters by other reputed publishers. In addition, she has reviewed articles of many esteemed journals like Environment Development and Sustainability, Human Ecology, Discover Environment by Springer Nature; Progress in Disaster Science, Regional Sustainability by Elsevier and Sustainability by MDPI. Her research interest includes studies of climate change, sustainable development, gender issues, urbanization, city sustainability etc.
Professor Giyasuddin Siddique has been working in the Department of Geography, The University of Burdwan since 1999. He did Ph.D. in Geography in 1999 from the same University. He has published a good number of research papers in esteemed National and International Journals like Environment, Development and sustainability; Spatial Information Research; GeoJournal; Space and Culture; Modelling Earth Systems and Environment; Heliyon etc. He has also authored six textbooks in the field of Geography and many edited book chapters of reputed publishing agencies. He has successfully supervised 8 M.Phil. and 14 Ph.D. Scholars till now and reviewed innumerable Ph.D. thesis and research articles. Professor Siddique has more than 30 years' experience of field based research on forest ecology, tribal culture, human development issues, socio environmental concerns, river dams, hazard studies, gender issues and various other issues.
