Prof. Dr. Dr. Peter Antes, geb. 1942, lehrt Religionswissenschaft an der Leibniz Universität Hannover. Nach dem Studium in Freiburg/Br. und Paris promovierte er in Freiburg/Br. 1970 in Religionsgeschichte zum Dr. theol., 1971 zum Dr.phil. und habilitierte sich 1972 für Religionsgeschichte und Vergleichende Religionswissenschaft. Seit 1973 lehrt er in Hannover.
