SophieRichardson is a Senior Customs Officer for the New Zealand Customs Service.Sophie holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Auckland (Psychology andMaori Studies) and a Masters degree from Massey University (InternationalSecurity, endorsement in Intelligence). In her short time in the public serviceSophie has worked not only with New Zealand Customs, but also the New ZealandPolice and the Office of the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security.Sophie has worked with Dr Gilmour previously to co-author an article on theimpacts of cyber crime on national security in New Zealand.

DrNicholas Gilmour is a former police officer and international policing expert.He holds a wealth of policing experience achieved during careers with theLancashire Constabulary in the UK and the New Zealand Police. From 2010-2013,he worked in the Middle East as a principle policing advisor for Abu DhabiPolice. Nicholas holds a Doctorate in criminal justice from the University ofPortsmouth (UK) and a Masters Degree in the prevention of transnational crimefrom the University of Wollongong (Australia). His most recent research andpublications have focused on the prevention of money laundering, organisedcrime, and intelligence.
