Frederik Barkhof is Professor of Neuroradiology at VU University Medical Centre, Amsterdam and at University College London (UCL). He is past chairman of the Dutch Society of Neuroradiology and module coordinator of the Erasmus CNS-1 course. Professor Barkhof has taught on the ECNR course in Neuroradiology for many years. His clinical and research interests include demyelinating disorders such as multiple sclerosis and dementia. He has published more than 800 papers in scientific journals and is the author of the book Neuroimaging in Dementia (Springer 2011).
Rolf Jäger is Professor of Neuroradiology at University College London (UCL) and Consultant Neuroradiologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. He has been Chairman of the Publications Committee of the European Society of Neuroradiology. His clinical and research interests include vascular diseases, both small and large vessel disease, brain tumor imaging, and neurodegenerative diseases. He has published more than 130 papers in scientific journals and 30 book chapters. He has edited the neuroradiology section of Grainger and Allison's Diagnostic Radiology, a widely read textbook of medical imaging.
