Microemulsions and Nanoemulsions have a number of special properties such as enhanced drug solubility, easy manufacturing and permeation enhancement ability compared to conventional formulations, which have been exploited in drug delivery systems, pharmaceutics and agriculture. Different formulations of micro and nanoemulsion were done using Sunflower oil, Neem oil respectively. On the other hand, nanoformulation of a chemical pesticide namely permethrin was done to find out the biosafety of it as nanopesticide. Nanoform of pesticide was found to be a potent larvicidal agent against Culex quinquefasciatus and Aedes aegypti. Nanopesticide was observed to be non toxic against non target species like micro organisms and plants. These findings suggest that the nanoemulsion formulated from plant sources and nano pesticide can act as a potent, environment friendly effective larvicidal agent without affecting non target organisms (Soil micro organisms, plants etc.).mehr
