Over the course of life, everyone encounters events that strike them with such force that their paths are forever realigned and their perspective is indelibly changed. I often compare events like this to the explosion of a star, when its luminosity increases dramatically and the star becomes, briefly, as bright as a galaxy: a supernova.I experienced my supernova, when my relationship unexpectedly came to an end and I had to painfully adjust to a new reality. So, in many ways, this book is about the end or the aftermath. But it is also about beginnings. Faced with the luminosity of the supernova, I was able to see my relationships with family, friends, love interests or myself in a new light, which gave me the opportunity to work on them and to let the invisible string pull me in a different direction.By pouring my supernova into words, I hope to comfort others who are dealing with their own supernova.
