Irene Schloer was born and raised in the south-west of Germany, spent a year as an exchange student in Orange County, CA, graduated from Robert College, Istanbul, with a B.A. in English Literature, got her Ph.D. from Istanbul University and taught at Bogazici University for 16 years beforre going back to Germany to continue her career as a teacher, translater and court interpreter. She writes road novels in German and English, loves choir singing and swimming.
