Autor

Jahrgang 1935, ist wie Joh`s Holst auf der Elbinsel Altenwerder geboren und aufgewachsen. Er kannte den Maler, das Leben der Elbfischer und die Schifffahrt seit Kindertagen. Daher schreibt er aus ganz persönlichem Erleben und erschließt uns Leben und Werk dieses begabten Malers mit vielen bisher unbekannten Daten und unveröffentlichten Bildern. Der Autor hat im traditionellen Hamburger Export seine Lehre als Außenhandelskaufmann absolviert. In den vergangenen vier Jahrzehnten hat er beruflich alle Kontinente bereist und war in führenden Positionen der Medizintechnik tätig. Heute lebt er in Tuttlingen in der Nähe des Bodensees.
