Peter Berg wuchs am Fuße der Terrassenweinberge im Ahrtal auf. Nach einem Grundstudium als Bauingenieur entdeckte er seine wahre Berufung. Im Jahr 2000 gründete er mit einer Geschäftspartnerin, Susanne Förster, die Firma GartenLandschaft Berg & Co. GmbH. Hier kombiniert er Planung, Ausführung und Pflege von Gärten nach dem Vorbild japanischer Meister. Seine Gartenplanungen finden sich europaweit, als Referent ist er sehr gefragt. Neben dem ELCA Trend Preis, dem europäischen Award für Bauen mit Grün, und weiteren Auszeichnungen erhielt er mehrfach den begehrten TASPO-Award als bester Gartendesigner des Jahres, den "Oscar der Grünen Branche".
