Autor

Ernst Rebel absolvierte zunächst ein Studium der Malerei, Grafik und Kunsterziehung an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München. Im Anschluss daran studierte er an der Universität München Kunstgeschichte, Philosophie und Klassische Archäologie. 1979 promovierte er im Fach Kunstgeschichte, habilitierte sich danach und hat seit 1992 eine Professur für Kunstgeschichte und Didaktik an der Universität München inne. Er veröffentlichte zahlreiche Publikationen zur Geschichte der Druckgrafik, zu Leben und Werk von Albrecht Dürer sowie zur Kunsttheorie und -pädagogik.
