We embarked on the adventure of our very first publication in spring 2017. The day we first held our collection of 50 lakes in and around Berlin in our hands, we knew that the story would continue to unravel-our discovery of holiday homes, hotels, and farmhouses on their shores had captivated us along the way. For this current publication we ventured even further from Berlin´s borders, crossing the fields of southern Brandenburg, to explore landscapes reaching as far as the Baltic Sea. In our quest, we stumbled across hidden lakes, tasted freshly baked fruit cakes, wandered down dirt roads in seemingly untouched nature, and took naps under the shade of chestnut trees. On countless mornings we set out for the day, only to realise by late afternoon that we would never make it home before nightfall. And so, once again, our day trips turned into weekend escapes.
