In order to evaluate the effect of different doses of AIB (indolbutyric acid) and substrate temperature on the rooting of juvenile cuttings of five species of Cupressaceae (Juniper, Cypress, Lemon Cedar, Thuja and False Cypress) in March 1997, a trial was carried out in the nursery of the Forestry Program of the Colegio de Postgraduados. This trial included the evaluation of two substrate conditions (with and without heating) and five levels of AIB: 0, 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000 ppm in liquid solution, and 10,000 ppm in commercial powder form (Radix F-10,000). Each species was considered as an independent experiment with a 2x5 factorial design and four replicates. Fifteen stakes were placed in each plot. One stake sample per plot was taken at 60 and 75 days, and at 90 days all stakes were removed to evaluate callus formation and root emission in each of them.mehr
