Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary is the first preserve for the protection of jaguars in the world. In a simple, direct way he tells the story of his life, how he helped to develop the village of Maya Centre and turn around a community highly antagonistic to the Wildlife Sanctuary to one supportive of and supported by the Sanctuary. His story includes a delightful love story, a brief time in Belizean politics, and a strong commitment to Mayan culture and spirituality.
