The 'Australian Studies JournalZeitschrift für Australienstudien' is an academic publication issued by the editors on behalf of the German Association for Australian Studies with a regular issue in summer and special issues in spring and autumn.It discusses a variety of disciplinary and interdisciplinary aspects relevant to Australia and its society.Stefanie Affeldt (Lead) is a post-doctoral researcher at the HCCH, Universität Heidelberg, as well as a member of the GASt executive board, the Specialised Information Service Anglo-American Culture advisory board, and the Centre for Australian Studies team. With a B.A. in Sociology (Macquarie University), an M.A. in Cultural and Social History (University of Essex), and a Dr. rer. pol from the Universität Hamburg, her area of research is racism analysis focussing on the history of whiteness in Australia.
