Autor

The author Stefan von der Heide, born in 1959, acquired the necessary basics for his present work during his apprenticeship as an orthopaedic shoemaker. Shortly after receiving a master craftsman certifi cate for shoemakers in 1993, he began with the fi rst reconstructions of historica shoes. For some years now, his workspace has been in an artisan's workshop set in the picturesque courtyard of the "Altes Schloss" (Old Castle) in Neustadt an der Aisch (Bavaria).
