note 1 music gmbh / Heidelbergerschienen am10.01.2020
The album is the part of the bibliophilic anthology of Dąbrowski's Mazurka, presenting the anthem as a musical piece that is the source of inspiration for the outstanding artists of European music.

The recording of the 'Polonia' Symphony in B minor, Op. 24 by Ignacy Jan Paderewski  was made during the 14th 'Chopin and His Europe' International Music Festival in Warsaw in 2018. It is a fragment of one of 6 concerts connected with the presentation of Dąbrowski’s Mazurka in different arrangements, against the background of music of the 19th and 20th centuries, with the particular respect for the high artistic performance qualities and authentic sound of the epoch.

Paderewski composed his 'Polonia' Symphony in B minor, Op. 24, based on his own experiences connected with the history of Poland after the January Uprising in 1863. He was inspired to write the work by national and patriotic impulses. The third movement of the work (Vivace) brings associations with the tone poem, in which the hidden motives of the Polish anthem are heard.

The composition is performed by the musicians of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the best ensembles in the United Kingdom, which can be called the British national orchestra.
