Springer Nature Singaporeerschienen am25.03.20241st ed. 2024
This book is part of a 2 volume book series that provides current, state-of-the-art knowledge, fundamentals of electrochemistry, design strategies, and future challenges in carbon-based materials for electrochemical energy production and storage devices. The key goals for nanocarbons based electrochemical devices are to provide safe operation, sustainability, high energy and power density, long working life, and reduced cost. This book describes the fundamentals and working principles of nanocarbons for basic to advanced applications for energy storage devices such as photovoltaics, electrocatalyst, and fuel cells. The book is written by leading experts in these areas making this a suitable textbook for students and providing new directions to researchers and scientists working in science and technology areas.

Dr. Ram Gupta is a Professor at Pittsburg State University. Dr. Gupta's research focuses on green energy production, storage using 2D materials, optoelectronics and photovoltaics devices, bio-based polymers, flame-retardant polyurethanes, conducting polymers and composites, organic-inorganic hetero-junctions for sensors, bio-compatible nanofibers for tissue regeneration, scaffold and antibacterial applications, and bio-degradable metallic implants.

Dr. Gupta published around 290 peer-reviewed articles, made over 450 national/international/ regional presentations, chaired many sessions at national/international meetings, and edited/wrote several books/chapters for leading publishers like the American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, CRC, Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley. He has published many research articles related to energy materials in high-impact journals such as Nature Communications, Solar Energy, Scientific Reports, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and Chemistry of Materials, to name a few. He has received several-million dollars for research and educational activities from external agencies. He is serving as Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor, and Editorial Board Member for several journals.
