Sebastien de Castell hatte gerade sein Archäologiestudium beendet, als er mit der ersten Ausgrabung begann. Vier Stunden später begriff er, wie sehr er Archäologie hasste, und ließ sie kurzerhand hinter sich, um Musiker, Projektmanager, Kampf-Choreograf und Schauspieler zu werden. Auf die eine oder andere Weise spiegeln sich all seine beruflichen Tätigkeiten in seinem Schreiben wider. Sebastien de Castell wurde in Kanada geboren und lebt heute in den Niederlanden.Gerald Jung studierte Germanistik, Amerikanistik und Anglistik und übersetzt seit vielen Jahren Literatur für Kinder, Jugendliche und Erwachsene.
