Dr. Heide Schatten is a cell and molecular biologist at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She specializes in reproduction and cancers of the reproductive systems. She has been involved as scientist adviser to advocates of Cancer Foundations and as a reviewer and study section leader of several Foundations and she has been a reviewer for the DOD prostate cancer program. She has had Cancer Research support and interacted with a large number of well-known cancer researchers including many from NIH Comprehensive Cancer Centers. Her publication record shows over 280 original publications and numerous review papers, many of which are focused on cell cycle and cytoskeletal abnormalities that are hallmarks for cancers including ovarian cancer. She has edited 19 previous books including (2013) Cell and Molecular Biology of Breast Cancer which has over 19,000 downloads.
